ngl, i expected to bounce back a lot quicker …
4 weeks post op and I’m still adjusting, but we move!!
I struggled physically, mentally and even spiritually with these growths in my womb, and I got so tired I did the surgery.
The same surgery so many doctors told me was not needed. I learned the complete opposite when I came out of surgery and things were a bit more complicated than expected.
I’m on my way tho!! y’all know im a private person but we can’t be out here struggling in isolation so ask me anything and ill share!
Many thanks to everyone for the beautiful messages, phone calls, gifts and everything in between. 🙏🏾

Recovering from fibroid surgery is often more complex than many anticipate. From my own experience, the journey extends beyond physical healing; it deeply impacts your mental and spiritual well-being as well. The large growths in the womb can cause severe fatigue and emotional distress, making the decision to undergo surgery both daunting and necessary. Many doctors may suggest watchful waiting, but for those of us experiencing intense symptoms, surgery can offer relief—even if the post-op path is slower than expected. In the first weeks after minimally invasive fibroid surgery, it's normal to experience a range of emotions, including frustration and isolation. That’s why community support and open conversation are crucial. Sharing experiences about fibroid awareness and recovery can empower us and break the silence around these struggles. Physically, gentle movement helps but pacing yourself is key. Nutritional support and hydration support tissue repair, while mental health practices like mindfulness can ease stress. Remember, your healing timeline is unique, and complications, though unexpected, are treatable with good medical care. If you’re navigating fibroid surgery recovery, know you’re not alone. Reach out, ask questions, and seek connections in hashtag communities like #fibroidsurgery, #recoverycommunity, and #fibroidawareness. These platforms have been a lifeline for many, encouraging patients to share their victories and setbacks and find hope during their healing journey.
