... Read moreThe discussion around South Africans not needing to work and allowing legal immigrants to take on jobs touches on deeper economic and social concepts. From my own experience living and working in South Africa, the labor market has always been complex, with issues such as unemployment and inequality affecting many communities. This idea, inspired by Dubai’s model where many foreigners work while locals do not, suggests a radical shift in South Africa’s approach to employment and economic participation. However, implementing such a model requires addressing fundamental challenges like social welfare support and sustainable immigration policies. The concept of paying South Africans a basic income, as mentioned in the article, aligns with global conversations about universal basic income (UBI) to reduce poverty and empower citizens. I have witnessed how targeted welfare programs can uplift marginalized groups but scaling to a national UBI remains a significant policy challenge. Additionally, welcoming legal immigrants can enrich the economy by filling labor shortages and bringing diverse skills. It also increases cultural exchange and innovation. However, balancing immigrant labor with the needs and rights of local citizens requires thoughtful governance and inclusive social frameworks. In conclusion, while the provocative statement that South Africans don't need to work sparks debate, it reminds us to rethink work, welfare, and immigration in a way that promotes equitable growth and social harmony in South Africa.

Spiritual hygiene is very important besides the common knowledge of keeping away negative people. We all know this. Taking a spiritual bath can remove blockages and keep your mind grounded. Africans and indigenous people have been using these methods of spiritual protection for centuries because th
