dear Brides, please think twice about your wedding florist!

It took me almost a month to process how upset and disappointed I was, get past the emotions, and finally sit down to write this review. I deliberately waited because I didn't want to write this purely out of anger right after the wedding. But even after having time to reflect, I still feel this experience needs to be shared.

I do not recommend overthemoon.fleur, especially if you're looking for trendy, thoughtfully arranged florals with good attention to colour, composition and overall aesthetics.

One of the most frustrating parts was the design process. As the bride, I ended up spending A LOT of time creating and refining my own mock-ups just to communicate my vision clearly — something I honestly didn't expect to have to do to this extent after engaging a professional florist.

Her mock-ups sometimes had only minor edits, yet they were labelled Version 2, Version 3, etc. This was later used to suggest that we "kept changing our vision". We weren't constantly changing the concept — we were refining details because the designs weren't getting closer to what we had communicated, and frankly, we were trying to make things easier for her.

Whenever we suggested an edit or idea, she would quickly reassure us that she could do it. However, the mock-ups often didn't meaningfully reflect those discussions. In the end, what was delivered was VERY far from our vision board and mock-ups in terms of colours, composition and overall aesthetic.

I genuinely hated my wedding florals. I'm not going to sugarcoat it — I found them really ugly, and they were one of my biggest disappointments from the wedding. 😢😢😢

It was especially upsetting because I personally spent so much time doing mock-up after mock-up to make my vision as clear as possible. Despite all that effort, the final result was nowhere close to what I had envisioned, and the comments we received about the florals weren't great either. As the bride, that was honestly heartbreaking.

If you're going for trendy, well-composed and thoughtfully arranged florals, based on my experience, hers definitely wasn't it.

Communication was another major issue. I found her very defensive about her team's work, and we often felt discouraged from making further refinements even though we were simply trying to get the designs closer to the vision we had already communicated.

Cherry on top? Halfway through our wedding planning, she changed her contact number WITHOUT informing us beforehand. When we suddenly couldn't reach her, we genuinely panicked and wondered whether she had disappeared on us. Completely unnecessary stress during wedding planning.

What made things worse was that my bridesmaid told me she complained to her about doing my florals, saying, "你朋友的 florals 做到我很累" ("Doing your friend's florals made me very tired"). I found it incredibly unprofessional for a vendor to complain about the bride to her own bridesmaids, especially during the wedding.

There were issues on the actual wedding day too. Neither she nor her team acknowledged our presence at the venue. They also took queue poles from the restaurant opposite and used LED candles that didn't belong to their team, resulting in our hotel manager having to contact us personally afterwards to settle the matter.

Photos/videos of our floral setup, including content where parts of our wedding photos could be seen, were also used in advertisements without our prior consent.

I understand that flowers are natural materials, availability varies, and no florist can reproduce an inspiration photo 100%. My disappointment isn't about expecting an exact replica. It's about the entire experience — the design process, repeated reassurances that our vision could be achieved, the huge gap between what was communicated and delivered, the communication issues, and the overall professionalism.

I waited almost a month before writing this because I wanted to be fair and make sure I wasn't speaking purely from post-wedding emotions. Unfortunately, after reflecting on everything, I still feel deeply disappointed with both the process and the final result.
