If I had 6 weeks to train for a bouldering trip...

Here's what I would focus on:

1️⃣Mobility work! I would focus on improving flexibility in my hips and my shoulders so I could maximize my technique.

2️⃣Plyometrics and Jumps! Not only would I be improving my power output, but I would also be improving the efficiency of my nervous system.

3️⃣Low intensity cardio! If you want to get the most out of your trip, zone 2 is a must! Not only will it help with the approach, but it will also help with recovery between sessions.

You won't get much in terms of strength gains, but that doesn't mean that you can't still do some training!

Let me know what fun places you're getting ready to go climb in⬇️
