One Pot Creamy Sausage Rigatoni
Recipe Below ⬇️⬇️
1 lb italian sausage
spoonful of minced garlic
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
15oz can of tomato sauce
8oz rigatoni
1 tbs italian seasoning
salt + pepper
chili flakes (optional)
parmesan cheese
Brown your sausage and add in your garlic. Cook about 1 min. Add in chicken broth, heavy cream, tomato sauce, italian seasoning, and rigatoni. Mix and boil on medium heat covered for 10-12 min stirring halfway. You want the rigatoni al dente. When your pasta is cooked season to taste with s+p and sprinkle in a good amount of parmesan cheese. Measure with your ❤️. At this point you could also add in a handful of baby spinach and mix until wilted, I was just out. Serve with some extra cheese on top and enjoy! #Recipe #onepotmeals #pasta #dinner #easyrecipe
One of the best parts about this one-pot creamy sausage rigatoni recipe is how effortlessly it comes together, making it ideal for busy weeknights or when you want a comforting meal without spending too much time in the kitchen. Using Italian sausage brings a great depth of flavor, combining perfectly with the tomato sauce and a splash of chicken broth to create a rich, savory base. The heavy cream adds that luscious creamy texture which coats every piece of rigatoni beautifully. From my experience, stirring the rigatoni halfway through cooking is an important step to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking. I recommend using high-quality Italian seasoning as it really enhances the overall flavor profile. You can easily omit the chili flakes if you prefer a milder dish, but they add a nice bit of heat for those who enjoy some spice. To make it even more nutritious, I like to add a handful of fresh baby spinach just before serving, allowing it to wilt into the sauce and boost the dish with greens. Parmesan cheese is a must-have here—feel free to be generous as it melts wonderfully and adds that perfect savory finish. If you’re looking for variation, swapping rigatoni with penne or ziti works just as well in this recipe. This meal is not only delicious but also practical because it uses just one pot, cutting down on the number of dishes to wash after dinner. Whether you're cooking for your family or meal prepping for the week, this creamy sausage rigatoni is sure to be a crowd-pleaser that’s ready in under 30 minutes.
