One more shift and I was done

Burnout isn’t just part of the job… it’s a sign something has to change.

You don’t have to keep living like this.

... Read moreBurnout is an all-too-common experience for many nurses who pour their hearts and energy into caring for others, only to find themselves emotionally and physically exhausted. From personal experience, I can say that recognizing burnout as a signal for change rather than a mere job hazard is crucial. One of the biggest challenges I faced was feeling completely drained after shifts, wondering how I could keep going. Nursing consumed so much of my life and left me unable to envision the future I hoped to have. The decision to step away was difficult but necessary. Leaving my nursing career wasn’t giving up; it was opening a door to explore new opportunities that wouldn’t cost me my well-being. Transitioning to earning online was a game-changer—especially finding a method that didn’t involve cold calling, chasing people, or needing a huge following. This approach allowed me to build income gradually while preserving my mental and emotional energy. If you’re feeling burnt out like I was, remember that you don’t have to stay stuck in a cycle of exhaustion. There are alternative pathways to financial independence and life balance. Whether it’s exploring online entrepreneurship, freelancing, or digital products, taking small but consistent steps can rebuild your peace and provide freedom you thought was out of reach. Sharing experiences and support with others undergoing similar challenges can also be empowering, so consider connecting with communities focused on nurse burnout recovery and online income opportunities. Ultimately, burnout signals the need for a different approach to how we live and work. Listening to that and acting on it can lead to a more fulfilling and sustainable lifestyle.

A Moment From My Shift I’ll Never Forget 🩺
There’s a moment from one of my shifts I still think about. 🤍 We had to call a rapid response on one of my patients. The room filled quickly — people talking over each other, oxygen monitors going off, everyone moving quickly trying to figure out what to do. In the middle of all the chaos, my pa

How To Make Your Shift Easier as a RN
1. I start every shift by writing down my top three priorities. Keeping my focus on the most important tasks helps me stay centered when the unit gets busy. 2. I assess and chart as early as I can. I’ve learned that getting this done at the beginning of the shift prevents a lot of stress later

THE OUTSIDE WORD STARTS TO SHIFT WHEN YOU DO THIS➡️
Have you ever noticed how your outside world starts to shift when you make small changes within yourself? Here are some powerful shifts I've experienced: Spend more time focusing on what you love. Pause before responding. Connect to the essence of you. Stop chasing what doesn't feel

Spend A 12hr shift with me in mother baby 🤰🏾
I work at the hospital as an APU tech who also works Mother Baby and l&D. I work mother baby yesterday and I always love working this unit. My shift starts 6:40 but because I live 45 minutes away I am usually up at 4:50 to get me and my toddler ready. My baby usually is with my mom/grandma

Personally I love my 12 hour shifts, I feel like in a hospital setting it’s necessary. I like spending time with my patients and being able to track their progress over an entire day. I also really enjoy having 3 on 4 off. For me this feels more rewarding and I feel like I get more done when I
