BMA goes ahead to register local highways. Repeat! Not expropriating - Not widening - Not cutting roads.
Bangkok spokesman Ekwrathu Amrapal revealed that Bangkok is implementing a local highway registration in the Bangkok area in accordance with the Highways Act to optimize the management of roads and thoroughfares, confirming to the public that the registration has no land expropriation, no road expansion and no additional road cuts.
Registration will enable the BMA to systematically implement measures such as tightening overweight trucks, speed limits, organizing roadblocks, including embroidering communication line poles to be tighter and safer.
Currently, the BMA has registered 2,904 routes and is in progress for another 3,646 routes, with a goal of covering all districts to be completed by the end of 2025 to enhance the safety and orderliness of road use in Bangkok.
Registration of Local Highways In Bangkok District By virtue of the Highways Act 1992 and Amendment No. 2 2006, Section 13 (3) and Section 15 (3) comprise Section 50 of the Bangkok Public Administration Regulation Act 1985 by the Governor of Bangkok as Director of Local Highways.

การขึ้นทะเบียนทางหลวงท้องถิ่นในกรุงเทพมหานครเป็นขั้นตอนสำคัญที่ช่วยยกระดับการบริหารจัดการโครงสร้างพื้นฐานด้านถนนให้มีความเป็นระบบและปลอดภัยยิ่งขึ้น สำหรับการดำเนินงานครั้งนี้ ใช้อำนาจตามพระราชบัญญัติทางหลวง พ.ศ. 2535 และแก้ไขเพิ่มเติมฉบับที่ 2 พ.ศ. 2549 โดยมีเป้าหมายครอบคลุมเส้นทางต่าง ๆ ถึง 6,550 เส้นทางภายในสิ้นปี 2568 การจัดระเบียบเส้นทางถนนและทางหลวงท้องถิ่น จะช่วยป้องกันและลดปัญหารถบรรทุกน้ำหนักเกินที่ก่อให้เกิดความเสียหายต่อถนน และเป็นสาเหตุของอุบัติเหตุ นอกจากนี้ การจำกัดความเร็วบนถนนและการขจัดสิ่งกีดขวางจะเพิ่มความปลอดภัยให้กับผู้ใช้รถใช้ถนนทุกคน การจัดระเบียบเสาและสายสื่อสารให้เป็นระเบียบก็เป็นอีกหนึ่งมาตรการที่ช่วยลดความเสี่ยงต่ออันตรายจากสิ่งก่อสร้างริมถนน และช่วยเพิ่มความสว่างในเวลากลางคืน ทำให้ถนนมีความปลอดภัยและเป็นระเบียบเรียบร้อยมากขึ้น กทม. ยังมีการติดประกาศขึ้นทะเบียนเส้นทางถนนแล้วกว่า 2,904 เส้นทาง และกำลังดำเนินการอีกกว่า 3,646 เส้นทาง โดยขั้นตอนทั้งหมดนี้จะเป็นการบริหารจัดการถนนอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพโดยไม่ต้องเวนคืนที่ดินหรือขยายถนนใหม่ ซึ่งช่วยลดผลกระทบต่อประชาชนและบริบททางสังคมในพื้นที่ โดยการขึ้นทะเบียนทางหลวงท้องถิ่นยังช่วยให้ กทม. สามารถวางแผน กำกับดูแล และดำเนินมาตรการจราจรได้อย่างรัดกุม อันจะส่งผลให้การเดินทางในกรุงเทพฯ มีความปลอดภัยและสะดวกมากขึ้น ตอบโจทย์การพัฒนาสาธารณูปโภคและคุณภาพชีวิตของประชาชนในเมืองหลวงได้อย่างยั่งยืน
