BMA takes delivery of books at World's Biggest Books 2025, prepares to pass on learning resources, pushes forward to a learning society, loves sustainable reading.
Bangkok Governor Chachchan Chatchan, Bangkok Governor, received a book from the representatives of Flange for Kids Ltd., a manufacturing and bookselling company and learning materials for children and families, along with Big Bad Wolf, the organizer of the World's Biggest Book 2025 International Book Expo from August 7 to 17, 2025, at Impact Forum Hall 4, Thongthani. The governor of Bangkok has thanked Plane for Kids Limited and Big Bad Wolf for giving the book to Bangkok. The book is the basis of learning and self-improvement. Every year, the organizers give the book to Bangkok's libraries, which is especially beneficial because reading cultivates the habit of learning and is the cornerstone of human and social development. Bangkok is committed to continuously promoting reading. Both the development of school libraries and the implementation of the "Book House" program to make the book accessible to all communities and citizens. With local volunteers, children and youth have the opportunity to read the book, even if it is inconvenient to come to the main library in Bangkok. Giving the book this time, it marks another collaboration that reinforces Bangkok's role in advancing the World Book City and building a sustainable learning society.
The World's Biggest Book Sale 2025 is held from 7 - 17 August 2025 at Impact Forum Hall 4, Thongthani, which has collected over 1 million quality books from both Thai and international publishers with discounts of up to 95%.
กรุงเทพมหานครเล็งเห็นความสำคัญของการส่งเสริมวัฒนธรรมรักการอ่าน โดยการเข้าร่วมและรับมอบหนังสือจากงานมหกรรมหนังสือนานาชาติ World’s Biggest Book 2025 ซึ่งเป็นงานที่รวบรวมหนังสือคุณภาพจากทั้งสำนักพิมพ์ไทยและต่างประเทศจำนวนมาก กว่า 1 ล้านเล่ม พร้อมส่วนลดสูงถึง 95% จัดขึ้นที่อิมแพ็ค ฟอรั่ม ฮอลล์ 4 เมืองทองธานี ระหว่างวันที่ 7 – 17 สิงหาคม 2568 การรับมอบหนังสือในครั้งนี้มีบริษัท แปลน ฟอร์ คิดส์ จำกัด หนึ่งในผู้ผลิตและจำหน่ายสื่อส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้สำหรับเด็กและครอบครัว ร่วมกับ Big Bad Wolf เป็นผู้นำหนังสือคุณภาพเหล่านี้ไปจัดเตรียมไว้บริการในห้องสมุดของกรุงเทพมหานคร บ้านหนังสือ รวมถึงพื้นที่ต่าง ๆ ที่ช่วยให้ประชาชนทุกกลุ่มเข้าถึงหนังสือและการเรียนรู้ได้อย่างทั่วถึง นับเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นสำคัญในการขับเคลื่อนกรุงเทพมหานครก้าวสู่การเป็นเมืองหนังสือโลก (Bangkok World Book Capital) โดยกรุงเทพมหานครได้ดำเนินโครงการ “บ้านหนังสือ” ที่เปิดโอกาสให้ชุมชนและเด็กเยาวชนได้อ่านหนังสือผ่านอาสาสมัครประจำพื้นที่ แม้ไม่สะดวกเข้าถึงห้องสมุดใหญ่ในเมือง การส่งเสริมนี้ถือเป็นการปลูกฝังนิสัยรักการเรียนรู้และเพิ่มศักยภาพทางการศึกษาในระดับชุมชน ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับเป้าหมายในการพัฒนาคนและสังคมโดยรวมอย่างยั่งยืน อีกทั้ง กิจกรรมรับมอบหนังสือยังสะท้อนถึงความร่วมมือระหว่างภาครัฐและเอกชนในการผลักดันสังคมแห่งการเรียนรู้ เป็นการสร้างความเข้มแข็งให้กับระบบห้องสมุดและแหล่งเรียนรู้ของกรุงเทพมหานครอย่างต่อเนื่อง เพื่อตอบสนองต่อความเปลี่ยนแปลงในยุคศตวรรษที่ 21 ที่การอ่านและการเรียนรู้มีบทบาทสำคัญอย่างยิ่ง ดังนั้น งาน World’s Biggest Book 2025 ไม่เพียงเป็นแหล่งรวบรวมหนังสือหลากหลายประเภทให้ประชาชนเลือกซื้อในราคาประหยัดเท่านั้น แต่ยังเป็นพื้นที่สำคัญสำหรับการแบ่งปันและแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ ร่วมสนับสนุนเป้าหมายการพัฒนากรุงเทพมหานครสู่เมืองหนังสือโลก และสร้างฐานรากที่มั่นคงให้กับสังคมแห่งการเรียนรู้ที่ยั่งยืนในอนาคต
