✨🌈 BMA went ahead with a pilot project to develop along the Chao Phraya 3.5 km, open a stage to listen to some people, co-design the city, according to the vision of truly returning the river to the people.
Bangkok spokesman Ekwurapul Amrapal revealed the progress of the "Chao Phraya River Development Project, Bang Diad District," from the Blue Line Bridge to the Bangkok Bridge for 3.5 kilometers.

The meeting atmosphere is constructive. The Bureau of Urban Planning and Development will collect information, comments, issues and opinions. The needs of the local public go to the analysis, plan the next implementation of the project.
"The Chao Phraya River is the heart of the people of Bangkok. The development project of the Chao Phraya waterfront area will provide all people with equal access to the waterfront for recreation and exercise at no cost. It is a real return of the river to people, in line with the vision of Bangkok, a livable city for all," said a BMA spokesman.
For the Chao Phraya riverfront development project, Bang Diang District has important marks to bring back public space and develop public access to the Chao Phraya River in a convenient and safe way. The public has made use of leisure, including walking and bicycle travel connections. There is a bridge across the canal to connect cultural attractions. In addition, the project is a pilot project to develop public space along the Chao Phraya River to other districts in the future.

โครงการพัฒนาริมแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยาในเขตบางพลัด ถือเป็นแนวทางสำคัญในการสร้างเมืองอย่างยั่งยืนที่เน้นการคืนพื้นที่สาธารณะให้แก่ประชาชน โดยการพัฒนาจะไม่ได้เน้นแค่การปรับภูมิทัศน์เท่านั้น แต่ยังรวมถึงการสร้างเครือข่ายการเดินทางด้วยการเดินและจักรยาน เพื่อส่งเสริมสุขภาพและลดการใช้พาหนะส่วนตัว ปัจจุบันปัญหาการเข้าถึงพื้นที่ริมน้ำในกรุงเทพฯ ถูกจำกัดทั้งด้านกายภาพและกฎหมาย ทำให้ประชาชนทั่วไปเข้าถึงริมน้ำได้ยากโครงการนี้จึงมุ่งแก้ไขด้วยการออกแบบพื้นที่ให้ปลอดภัย สะดวกต่อการใช้งานและเชื่อมต่อกับชุมชนโดยรอบอย่างดี นอกจากการเป็นพื้นที่พักผ่อนหย่อนใจ และทางเดินที่เชื่อมสถานที่สำคัญแล้ว ยังมุ่งเน้นการส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจชุมชนผ่านการเชื่อมโยงแหล่งท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรม รวมถึงสร้างความเข้มแข็งให้กับชุมชนริมแม่น้ำในเขตบางพลัด โดยการเปิดเวทีรับฟังความคิดเห็นจากประชาชนในพื้นที่มากถึง 48 ชุมชนและผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสียเป็นสิ่งสำคัญที่สร้างความชัดเจนและความเป็นเจ้าของร่วมในโครงการนี้ การมีส่วนร่วมอย่างสร้างสรรค์ของผู้แทนชุมชน หน่วยงานราชการ รวมถึงภาคประชาชนที่เข้าร่วมนั้น จะช่วยให้เกิดการพัฒนาแนวทางที่ตอบโจทย์ความต้องการจริงของคนในพื้นที่ ทั้งนี้ กทม. ยังมีแผนขยายผลโครงการนำร่องนี้ไปยังเขตอื่นๆ เพื่อทำให้แม่น้ำเจ้าพระยาเป็นแกนกลางของพื้นที่สาธารณะที่ทุกคนเข้าถึงได้ เท่ากัน และเป็นพื้นที่ที่ส่งเสริมคุณภาพชีวิตเมือง นับเป็นก้าวสำคัญที่สะท้อนวิสัยทัศน์ "กรุงเทพฯ เมืองน่าอยู่สำหรับทุกคน" ที่เน้นทั้งความเท่าเทียมและความยั่งยืน การพัฒนาพื้นที่ริมน้ำยังสอดรับกับกระแสโลกที่เน้นการพัฒนาเมืองอัจฉริยะและพื้นที่สีเขียว ซึ่งจะช่วยเสริมสร้างกรุงเทพฯ ให้เป็นเมืองที่น่าอยู่อาศัยและเป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวที่มีคุณภาพ พร้อมสร้างสมดุลระหว่างการพัฒนาเมืองกับการรักษาทรัพยากรธรรมชาติอย่างยั่งยืน
