The BMA passed a budget of 69, a limit of 9.2 billion, a reduction of more than 6.2 billion, and a discussion of many issues.
The Bangkok Council's meeting to consider the draft of the 2026 annual expenditure budget provisions in its second and third sessions, with Sungit Pong Sing Sing as chairman of the Extraordinary Committee, reported that the committee had reduced the total budget by more than 6,273 million, divided into BMA 6,227 million, and Commercial Agency budget by 46 million, resulting in a budget of 92,700,654,060 million.
At the height of the debate, Congressman Bharat Keng Chai, MP Bang Chai, opposed the B2-floor renovation project and the Irawat building mechanical system, a total of 98.8 million, an expensive claim, which was adjusted to 62.7 million, and the meeting agreed to that.
Mr. Powers Pan Taro, an MP. Bang Ka, reserved an amendment to the cost of part-time food and the cost of repairing the car, proposed a 5% reduction, but after receiving the statement, he withdrew the reservation, as did Nangkorn Chitpendarum, an MP.

The BMA's digital bureau, Mr. Egwin, proposed to cut IT's budget by 35 million baht, claiming that the original company accepted continuous-non-transparent work. Finally, the meeting cut the entire block, while Mr. Putthapachr Thanya Thanom proposed to cut the consultant's budget by 34 million baht, claiming too high a cost, which the meeting agreed to cut all, including a reduction of nearly 70 million baht.
District Office, Chatchai, Doctor D, M.A., Bangna, opposed the Interactive Board budget of 58 million baht, pointed out that it was expensive - teachers could not use it, but the meeting kept the budget as usual. The University of Navmintrathiraj received an additional budget of 33 million baht, but Virat Meinchainan, M.A., Minburi, challenged the major curriculum project, and the President of the Council agreed and left the Administration to consider it.
The meeting adopted the third term of principle with a consensus of 47 votes, and attached to the observations of the Kkg Extraordinary to the Administration, Mr. Surchit thanked all parties for helping to scrutinize the budget effectively, while Governor Shachchan insisted on accepting all comments to improve and make the most of the budget to the people.
ในกระบวนการพิจารณางบประมาณรายจ่ายประจำปี 2569 ของกรุงเทพมหานครนั้น การปรับลดงบประมาณจำนวนกว่า 6,273 ล้านบาทเป็นการแสดงให้เห็นถึงความพยายามของสภากทม.ในการตรวจสอบและกลั่นกรองการใช้งบอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ เพื่อให้เงินภาษีของประชาชนถูกใช้อย่างคุ้มค่าและตอบสนองความจำเป็นที่แท้จริงในพื้นที่เมืองหลวง หนึ่งในประเด็นที่ถูกนำมาพิจารณาอย่างละเอียดคือโครงการปรับปรุงพื้นที่ชั้น B2 และระบบเครื่องกลอาคารไอราวัตต์ ที่มีการทักท้วงถึงราคาแพงเกินความเหมาะสม แต่สุดท้ายงบประมาณก็ถูกปรับลดเหลือ 62.7 ล้านบาท และได้รับความเห็นชอบ นอกจากนี้ยังมีการอภิปรายเกี่ยวกับงบประมาณในส่วนของระบบ BWIM ระบบตรวจน้ำหนักรถบรรทุกที่มีงบประมาณกว่า 32 ล้านบาท ซึ่งมีการตั้งข้อสงสัยเกี่ยวกับประสิทธิภาพและการนำไปใช้งานจริง แต่คณะกรรมการวิสามัญฯ ชี้แจงว่าเทคโนโลยีนี้ยังคงมีประโยชน์ต่อการจัดการปัญหาการใช้งถนนและการบรรทุกเกินน้ำหนักอย่างต่อเนื่อง ประเด็นการใช้งบในส่วนของสำนักดิจิทัลก็ได้รับความสนใจไม่น้อย โดยเฉพาะงบประมาณด้าน IT กว่า 35 ล้านบาท ที่ถูกตัดเพราะความกังวลเกี่ยวกับความไม่โปร่งใสและการต่อเนื่องของการจ้างงาน ขณะที่งบในส่วนของการจ้างที่ปรึกษาก็ถูกปรับลดเพราะค่าใช้จ่ายสูงเกินไป การอภิปรายในที่ประชุมสภากทม.ยังสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความแข็งขันของสมาชิกสภาในหลายสำนักงาน เช่น สำนักงานเขตและ สำนักการระบายน้ำ ที่มีการประเมินความจำเป็นของโครงการและการตั้งคำถามเกี่ยวกับราคาสินค้าหรือบริการต่าง ๆ เช่น เรือไฟเบอร์ก๊าซ รวมถึงเครื่องดับเพลิงที่ถูกตั้งคำถามถึงราคาที่อาจสูงเกินจริง ซึ่งทั้งหมดนี้เป็นสิ่งที่สะท้อนกระบวนการตรวจสอบและถ่วงดุลภายในองค์กรรัฐ เพื่อให้มั่นใจได้ว่าเงินงบประมาณถูกใช้ไปเพื่อประโยชน์ของประชาชนโดยแท้จริง โดยภาพรวมแล้ว การผ่านงบประมาณ 9.27 หมื่นล้านบาทของกรุงเทพมหานครในปี 2569 ตอกย้ำความมุ่งมั่นที่จะใช้งบประมาณอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ น้อมรับข้อเสนอแนะจากสภาและประชาชน เพื่อปรับปรุงโครงการต่างๆ ให้เหมาะสมและเกิดประโยชน์สูงสุดแก่ชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ของประชาชนในพื้นที่กรุงเทพมหานครอย่างแท้จริง
