Seeing myself go from "Before Estrogen" to where I am now, over "2 years on Estrogen," has been absolutely mind-blowing and such a validation of my true self. When you start estrogen, it's not just about emotional changes; the physical transformation is profound. One of the biggest things I've noticed, and what many trans women anticipate, is fat redistribution. This means fat starts to move from areas typically associated with male bodies (like the abdomen) to more feminine areas such as the hips, thighs, and buttocks. This process is gradual, but it really starts to give a softer, more traditionally feminine silhouette over time. My skin also became noticeably softer, and I began to develop breast tissue, which was a huge milestone for me. Looking back at my progress, especially comparing "6 months on Estrogen" to the "2 years on Estrogen" mark, the differences are truly striking. In the first few months, I saw initial changes like breast budding and softer skin. By the 2-year mark, the fat redistribution was much more apparent, my facial features had softened, and my muscle mass had decreased, contributing significantly to my feminization. Every body reacts differently, but patience is key, as these changes truly unfold over time. Now, let's talk about the idea of a "hormonal belly." This is a query I see often, and it's something many people, including those on HRT, wonder about. While estrogen helps redistribute fat to more feminine areas, it doesn't necessarily mean you'll get a specific "hormonal belly" in the way some might imagine. Instead, the overall fat distribution shifts, and sometimes initial weight gain or water retention can occur. For me, the focus has been on overall body feminization, and while my waistline has softened, it's more about the broader changes in my figure rather than a single belly type. Many "hormonal belly real pictures" you might see often reflect general changes in body fat and muscle, or even just natural body variations. A balanced diet and regular gentle exercise have been super helpful for me in supporting my body through these changes and achieving a "skinny belly pooch" if that's a goal, by promoting overall health. It's important to remember that everyone's journey is unique, and results can vary. I'm so grateful for the progress I've made and the way estrogen has helped me align my outer self with my inner identity.
