Devastated
First, I want to say thank you to EVERYONE who supported me, prayed for me, encouraged me, and believed in me throughout my RBT journey and while I was studying for my exam.
I went in, I gave it my all… I studied, I watched videos, I asked questions, I role played, I had a BcBa online tutor and I showed up with everything I had.
Unfortunately, I did NOT pass this RBT exam.
And yes it is heartbreaking.💔💔💔😭😭
But let me be real with y’all this is NOT the end of my story.
I’m not ashamed, embarrassed BUT. I’m NOT quitting. I’m NOT giving up.
I am going to regroup, study harder, adjust my mindset, and come back STRONGER and BETTER prepared.
Sometimes setbacks are just setups for a stronger comeback.
Thank you again for the love, the prayers, and the support. I see it, I feel it, and I appreciate it more than words can say.

Facing failure in a professional exam like the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) test can feel overwhelming emotionally and mentally. When I first received my results, I was devastated, much like I imagine many others have been. However, through this experience, I've learned that failure doesn't define us; our response to it does. I realized that setbacks are often disguised opportunities for growth. Instead of allowing disappointment to consume me, I took time to reflect on what I could improve. This included reevaluating my study habits, seeking new learning resources, and embracing a mindset centered around persistence and self-compassion. One key insight I gained was the importance of mindset in exam preparation and self-improvement. It’s essential to understand that an exam, even one as significant as the RBT, measures just one moment in time and doesn’t encapsulate your full potential or dedication to your career path. From my experience, I encourage others who face similar hurdles not to give up. Surround yourself with support—friends, family, mentors, and online communities who lift you up. Use their encouragement as fuel to study smarter and build confidence. Adaptability, resilience, and continuous learning are crucial ingredients in any success story. If you’re preparing for the RBT exam or any professional certification, consider incorporating multiple methods—videos, flashcards, mock tests, and practical role-plays. Seeking a qualified tutor or mentor can provide tailored guidance that addresses your unique challenges. Remember, this is just a chapter in your journey, not the whole story. Keep pushing forward, believe in your growth, and trust that a stronger, better-prepared version of yourself is on the horizon.
