My Crazy Birth Story

My birth story .. here’s a cute little laugh for ya.. 😱

My story starts in back in March 2023 when we found out we were expecting our son. It was a blessing we had no idea we needed. Unfortunately my pregancy was high risk and he had a few complications , but overall I had a smooth pregancy.

Like anyone who announces their pregnancy, everyone started predicting when they thought he’d arrive . Since his father , brother, and grandfather were all born on the 7th day of different months, of course we (mom and dad) believed heavily that he would come on the 7th . Whether early or term! It was late October , close to Halloween when I started feeling more Braxton hicks than usual. I was also only 34 weeks so we definitely didn’t want baby boy to come anytime soon. Especially not in October. (Were slightly superstitious though we love Halloween ) 😅

A few days before he was born, I noticed spotting and baby boy dropping (settling into my pelvis) . At this time dad and I wanted to be super cautious because we were close to the 7th and didn’t want to hinder any chances of him coming on that day…

.. well one rainy nextflix and chill night, hormones were high and love was in the air .. 😂 the “morning after” I took the nicest bubble bath while watching Bridgerton! (living my best life right 😂) Such a chill moment. My bath ended, and I walked in our room to lay down and converse with my hubby love.

Very soon after I kept feeling water as if I was peeing on myself . I told my hubby I thought my water was breaking and he laughed as if I was joking and trying to scare him since we were supposed to be being cautious. He proceeds to call his mother into our room as if he was trying to call my bluff.

Coincidentally his aunt was also there to check on us . They both walk into our room and were laughing already at the situation. I tell them I think my water was breaking and AS SOON AS I SAID THAT, came the gush of water!……………

Our son was born 19 hours later on Nov. 6th …. 😂😂Dad still blames himself for our son arriving a day earlier than we predicted! It’s a hilarious story we will tell him once he’s old enough!! 🥰

P.S… today is Dads Birthday !! 🥳🧁🎉

Say hello to our boy!

... Read moreLooking back at my own 'crazy birth story', it makes me realize how little we can truly plan when it comes to welcoming a baby! We had all these expectations, especially about K. Leomari arriving on the 7th, but birth has a way of unfolding on its own timeline. It's a beautiful, chaotic, and often hilarious journey, and I’ve learned that flexibility is truly a new parent’s best friend. My pregnancy was high-risk, which added another layer of anxiety. While my story highlights the funny side of the delivery, the reality of a high-risk journey can be challenging. It's crucial to have a supportive medical team and a strong support system around you. Don't be afraid to ask questions, advocate for yourself, and lean on your partner and family. Every appointment, every test, felt like a hurdle, but seeing that little heartbeat always made it worth it. After the whirlwind of those 19 hours, holding our little newborn for the first time was pure magic. All the jokes about the timing, the surprise of the early labor – it all faded away. It was just us, our perfect Daddy's boy, K. Leomari, finally here. The hospital stay felt like a blur of first feedings, diaper changes, and endless cuddles. I remember just staring at his tiny face, marveling at every little detail. My husband was so proud, already cherishing every moment with our Papa Kay & Baby Kay. Bringing him home was a whole new adventure. The quiet house suddenly felt full of life, and also, a lot louder! The first few weeks are a mix of exhaustion and exhilarating love. Sleep deprivation is real, but so are those tiny hand squeezes and sleepy smiles. My biggest advice for new parents is to embrace the mess, accept help when it's offered, and remember that you're doing an amazing job. There’s no manual for perfect parenting, just a lot of learning on the fly. One thing I wish someone had told me more about was the emotional roller coaster postpartum. It's not just about the physical recovery; your hormones are all over the place, and it's okay to feel overwhelmed, teary, or even a little lost. Talk to your partner, friends, or a doctor if you're struggling. You're not alone. Every birth story is unique, whether it's a planned induction, an emergency C-section, or a spontaneous labor after a Netflix and chill night! Each one is a testament to the incredible journey of bringing a new life into the world. Embrace your story, share your moments, and cherish every single second with your little one. They grow up so fast!
