Even though I should have joined as a registered dietitian, I was taking care if I noticed

I still remember clearly the day the new graduate joined the company.

In the interview, it was certainly "recruitment as a registered dietitian." I went to university, got a qualification, and worked hard for that. So naturally, I thought that the job of nutrition management was waiting if I went to the site.

However, when I heard about the assignment after the entrance ceremony, I doubted my ears.

"Registered dietitians also enter nursing care."

To be honest, I didn't understand what was being said. No, rather than not understanding, I didn't want to understand.

Because such a story never appeared in the interview.

Before I knew it, far from thinking about meals, my daily work is nursing care. Moreover, there is even a night shift. Even if I asked if I could return to work as a registered dietitian someday, the time was ambiguous.

It may be three years. It may be five years. It may not come as it is.

Was it really "hiring as a registered dietitian"?

There were also people who came in as new graduates in the same way. Everyone felt the same discomfort and quit.

I think it's natural.

There is a job I want to do, and even though I have worked hard for it, I am forced to do another job from the beginning.

I do not want to deny the job of nursing care itself. It is an important job, and there are many things to learn by actually doing it.

However, "whether it was explained that way from the beginning" is another story.

If I had been told at the time of the interview, "You will be placed in nursing care at first. The period is undecided," my choice might have changed.

I think this is not just a mismatch, but a lack of explanation or more.

I hope that there will be no more people who feel the same way.
