I battle ppd after my first son and then got pregnant when he was 18 months old so all of that caused to go in a very dark hole and my ppd got extremely ad after having my 2nd. I finally got to the point where I wasn’t happy, my marriage was suffering, my relationships with other people was suffering so I needed help. I reached out and started therapy and also started repairing my faith. I love grown closer to God and am every single day.

... Read morePostpartum depression (PPD) is a challenging condition that affects many mothers after childbirth, causing emotional distress and difficulties in daily life. It is essential to understand that seeking help is a courageous and vital step towards recovery. Therapy provides professional guidance to address emotional struggles, while rebuilding faith can offer spiritual comfort and strength during difficult times. This journey often involves gradual progress, with ups and downs, but persevering brings healing and improved relationships with loved ones. Support networks, including family, friends, and online communities, also play a crucial role in providing encouragement and understanding. Sharing personal experiences can help reduce the stigma associated with postpartum mental health issues and inspire others to seek help. Nutrition, regular physical activity, and adequate rest contribute to overall well-being alongside therapeutic treatments. Embracing motherhood with openness and vulnerability fosters personal growth and deeper connections with both oneself and one’s children. For moms facing similar battles, remember that you are not alone. Professional help paired with personal faith and support can guide you toward brighter days. This story highlights the importance of hope, recovery, and community in overcoming postpartum depression and nurturing a family filled with love and resilience.
