Its been a month now...

Is it even possible to have a fractured bone and not know and still be walking on it? Or am I just the biggest baby alive? lol And its still a little swollen on ourtside of my ankle.... I really dont want to go back to the Drs for this 😩🤣🤷‍♀️😑

5/14 Edited to

... Read moreI never imagined that a fractured bone could go unnoticed while still allowing me to walk around daily. After experiencing some pain and swelling on the outside of my ankle for over a month, I began to question whether I might have seriously injured myself without realizing it. It wasn’t until I searched for similar experiences online that I discovered this is actually more common than I thought. Sometimes, small or hairline fractures don’t cause immediate, intense pain, which can mislead people into thinking it’s just a minor sprain or bruise. Throughout this time, I tried to stay active while managing the discomfort, but the persistent swelling and occasional soreness reminded me that something was off. The thought of returning to the doctor was daunting, especially with the fear of a confirmed fracture and the prospect of wearing a cast or taking time off from my daily routines. However, I also learned that ignoring such symptoms could lead to complications like improper healing or chronic pain. If you find yourself in a similar situation, listen to your body carefully. Resting and elevating your ankle, applying ice, and using over-the-counter pain relief can help, but professional evaluation is essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment. Imaging tests like X-rays or MRIs might be necessary to confirm a fracture. Also, don’t be discouraged by the fear of a diagnosis; early intervention often leads to better recovery outcomes. From my experience, the key takeaway is to monitor any swelling or persistent pain and seek advice when unsure. Walking on a potential fracture isn’t impossible, but it’s definitely not recommended. Taking care of yourself early can save you from longer-term issues. Remember, your health always comes first—even if it means braving a visit to the doctor!

Why I pay $1850 a month for a duplex
I wanted to share a bit of mortgage reality here in Oregon—we pay $1,850/month for our home, which is actually a pretty solid price for the area. We live in a 1,244 sq ft duplex, meaning we share a main wall with our neighbors. Moving here came with trade-offs. Our previous home was a charming 1
