Kickball update
Joining a kickball team has been a refreshing change for me, especially as someone new to the game. Despite missing a few sessions due to travel, the experience has been all about connecting with others and having fun rather than serious competition. One highlight has been getting new athletic shorts that actually made me feel more prepared for the games and comfortable during play. The team atmosphere is really welcoming — most of us didn't know each other before and were just looking to enjoy some light exercise and social interaction. After games, we often head to a local pub to play flip cup, which adds a fun, relaxed way to bond beyond the field. Playing seven rounds of flip cup goes by quick, but it’s a great way to wind down and keep the good vibes going. What I love most is the understanding that kickball here isn’t about strenuous workouts or serious sports pressure. It’s a casual, friendly environment where everyone encourages each other. This approach not only makes it easier to join in when you’re a beginner but also helps build lasting friendships. If you’re looking for a fun, low-key team sport that combines mild physical activity with socializing, kickball might just be the perfect fit.
