Combining sardines with seaweed not only provides iodine and minerals that support thyroid function but also adds a unique, savory flavor to the meal. Adding fresh tomatoes, lemon, cucumbers, and avocado enhances the dish with antioxidants, vitamin C, and healthy fats that promote hydration and replenish electrolytes lost during exercise. Personally, I like preparing a light salad after workouts: I mix sardines with chopped cucumbers, diced tomatoes, and shredded seaweed, then drizzle fresh lemon juice and olive oil on top.
