Things we forget are perfectly normal

Save this post as a reminder. It's time

to give yourself a break and work with your natural cycles rather than against them. Stop putting so much pressure on yourself and learn to work with your body and mind, rather than against them. Accepting and embracing your natural cycles will allow you to feel so much more confident.

... Read moreHey beautiful souls! I know we've all been there – those days where you just feel... off. Maybe your self-perception takes a hit, or you look in the mirror and your body shape feels totally different. For so long, I’d beat myself up, wondering why I couldn't just be consistently energetic and confident. But then I started learning about my natural cycles, and it was a total game-changer. What I discovered is that so many of those ‘off’ feelings, even moments of intense insecurity, are actually perfectly normal and often tied to our amazing hormones. Take those times you feel particularly insecure. It’s not just in your head! During phases like the luteal phase, for example, a dip in estrogen combined with higher progesterone can genuinely impact how you see yourself. Suddenly, things you usually shrug off can feel huge. Recognizing this isn't an excuse; it's understanding. It's a reminder that your body is constantly adapting, and sometimes that means your perception shifts. Giving yourself grace in these moments is a powerful act of self-love. And what about those days when you feel incredibly emotional, even if there’s no obvious reason? I used to try to suppress it, thinking I needed to be "strong" all the time. But our hormonal changes throughout the cycle genuinely heighten emotions. Allowing yourself to honor these feelings, to simply feel them without judgment, shows that your body and mind are in tune. It’s part of being a natural woman, not a weakness. Our body shape will fluctuate too, and it’s not just about weight! Changing estrogen and progesterone levels influence things like fluid retention, fat distribution, and even muscle tone. I remember stressing over a bloated belly that would appear seemingly overnight. Now, I understand it’s a sign of health and adaptability. Our bodies are incredible, constantly working to maintain balance. Instead of fearing these changes, let’s see them as proof of our inner strength and flexibility. Working with your natural cycles also means recognizing when you need more rest. This isn’t laziness; it’s your body’s natural way of protecting you and conserving energy. I’ve learned to schedule in more downtime during my luteal phase when my energy naturally dips. This self care isn't a luxury; it's essential. It allows me to show up even stronger later, rather than burning out. Similarly, setting more boundaries becomes crucial. Sometimes, saying "no" to social plans or extra tasks is exactly what your body needs to recover and thrive. Listen to those cues! Embracing these natural rhythms has not only boosted my confidence but also deepened my understanding of what it truly means to be a woman. It’s about accepting the ebb and flow, knowing that fluctuation is not a flaw, but a feature. Let's celebrate our incredible, adaptable bodies and minds, and give ourselves the break we absolutely deserve.
