your sign to study abroad 🍋✈️💶

i was incredibly nervous to study abroad, especially because i get homesick so often, i hate being far away from home. after pushing myself to go because i love traveling, i would suggest it to every single person in college. it was genuinely the opportunity of a lifetime. i gained so much insight on life and became a more independent and mature individual. i also made friendships i know will last a lifetime! i had the chance to travel to places i never thought i’d get to see, and take risks that i never would’ve even imagined beforehand! #studyabroad #studyabroadtips #travel #traveling #europetravel

... Read moreStudying abroad is more than just a chance to explore new countries; it's a powerful way to transform your perspective and grow personally. If you’re hesitant due to homesickness or uncertainty, know that these feelings are completely normal and can be managed with the right mindset and planning. One of the best ways to immerse yourself in local culture is to choose destinations like Prato, Italy—an excellent home base away from tourist-heavy areas. It allowed for a truly authentic Italian experience, immersing in traditions, food, and daily life. For group travel enthusiasts, visiting places like Split, Croatia with friends can turn a weekend trip into a memorable adventure full of laughter and new connections. Booking excursions through reputable planners like SmartTrip ensures smooth, well-organized experiences. Planning ahead is especially crucial for popular cities such as London, UK, where costs can quickly add up without proper preparation. Booking tickets and accommodations in advance can save money and stress. Exploring historical and picturesque cities like Prague offers enriching experiences. Hiring a tour guide there reveals fascinating local legends and must-see spots that you might miss on your own, enhancing your appreciation for the destination. Italy shines with a variety of stops that cater to different interests—Florence for art and craftsmanship (don’t miss a cooking class or leather shopping), San Gimignano for peaceful wine tasting sessions, Rome for iconic landmarks despite the crowds, and Venice for charming canals and leisurely walks (but beware of overpriced tourist restaurants). A visit to Vatican City, especially during special occasions like a jubilee year, is awe-inspiring though bustling. Walking through the Holy Doors, which only open every 25 years, is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that adds spiritual depth to a cultural journey. Ultimately, studying abroad builds independence, fosters lifelong friendships, and sparks unforgettable adventures. By embracing new environments, pushing personal boundaries, and planning wisely, you’ll gain insights that enrich both your academic journey and personal growth. It’s a unique opportunity worth every bit of courage it takes to say yes.
