Cinnamon Twist Recipe Easy

What a hit for the Holidays! 🎄 I will be making more throughout the year but I can’t help my bread-loving self. So delicious!

Recipe:

1 packet Active Dry Yeast

3-4 cups flour

1tbsp cinnamon

1/2c packed brown sugar

2 tbsp melted butter

1tsp salt

2 tbsp granulated sugar

1 1/2c warm water (102-110F)

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375

Combine warm water, sugar, salt and yeast in stand-mixing bowl. Let sit until foamy (8-10 minutes)

Using the dough hook, Add flour cup by cup until a smooth elastic dough forms. Turn dough onto a flour surface and cover with tea towel for 10 minutes; allowing to rise.

Make Brown Sugar Cinnamon filling and melt butter; keep separate.

After 10 minutes, using a rolling pin roll dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. Sprinkle flour on top of dough if too sticky. Brush melted butter on top of the dough and sprinkle filling to cover surface area of dough. Begin from the bottom rolling dough like you would a cinnamon roll.

Using a pastry knife or sharp knife slice dough down the center of the roll leaving 1/2in on the top of the dough on one end. Twist and braid dough into desired shape. Cover with tea towel to rise for another 20 minutes.

Bake for 23-25 minutes or until slightly golden.

Immediately brush butter after removing from oven to achieve a more golden look. Add a simple vanilla icing, if desired.
