One of the biggest misconceptions in Christianity is that being loving means allowing people to mistreat you.
It doesnโt.
Jesus taught love.
Jesus taught forgiveness.
Jesus taught grace.
But He never taught people to stay in abusive, toxic, or destructive situations. ๐ค
You can forgive someone and still set boundaries.
You can pray for someone and still walk away.
You can love someone and still refuse to tolerate behavior that harms your peace, your mental health, or your relationship with God.

Some people will call your boundaries selfish because they benefited when you had none.
But boundaries arenโt unchristian.
Theyโre wisdom.
๐ท God never asked you to be a punching bag.
๐ท God never asked you to sacrifice your well-being to keep others comfortable.
๐ท God never asked you to endure what He Himself calls wrong.
Real love doesnโt manipulate.
Real love doesnโt control.
Real love doesnโt tear you down.
Jesus loved people deeply, but He also walked away from those who rejected truth.
So if youโve been feeling guilty for protecting your peace, let this be your reminder:
๐ค You are allowed to say no.
๐ค You are allowed to walk away.
๐ค You are allowed to protect your heart.
Love like Jesus.
