My Pilates Instructor Journey Just Started

I walked into a Pilates studio this week knowing one thing…

I’m ready for my next level.

I officially started my journey to becoming a certified Pilates instructor, and I wanted to document this from the very beginning not when everything looks perfect.

Because this isn’t just about workouts for me.

It’s about:

– building a routine that actually feels good

– strengthening my body in a sustainable way

– creating a soft, disciplined lifestyle

– and helping other women feel confident starting their own journey

Over the next few months, I’ll be sharing:

🤍 behind the scenes of becoming certified

And eventually…

For anyone new to Pilates, I highly recommend focusing on the fundamentals: understanding your breathing patterns and mastering the core movements before progressing to more advanced routines. Using equipment like the Reformer or Cadillac can feel intimidating at first, but with consistent practice, it becomes second nature. One of the best parts of Pilates is how it adapts to all levels, making it a gentle yet effective way to enhance posture, flexibility, and muscle endurance. I also learned that building a routine that feels good isn’t about pushing to the extreme but about listening to your body’s needs and boundaries. Sustainable strength comes from discipline paired with self-compassion. Sharing my journey openly, including the challenges and small victories, has helped me connect with others who may feel hesitant to begin. If you’re thinking about starting Pilates, remember: perfection isn’t required. What matters most is showing up and allowing yourself to grow. Looking ahead, I’m excited to develop my own Pilates workouts and possibly a program aimed specifically at women seeking confidence through movement. For now, I encourage you to join me on this path, explore beginner sequences, and create wellness habits that nourish your lifestyle. Pilates is truly a soft power—one that strengthens the body while cultivating grace and confidence from within.

Here are some of my favorite at home arm exercises. I had to speed up the video and cut some of the reps but I usually shoot for 3 sets of 9 reps. It does not require heavy weight. I recommend using 1-3 pounds or even a soup can to be able to keep your arms up during all of the exercises! G
