You are more than the titles you carry

In my own journey, I’ve often felt overwhelmed by the multiple hats I wore daily—whether as a professional, a family member, or a friend. There were moments when I started equating my worth with the tasks I completed or how others perceived my roles, which led to unnecessary pressure and doubt. What truly helped me was pausing to reflect on the reminder that our identity isn’t wrapped up in these titles but in being a child of God. This perspective shifted my entire mindset. Instead of asking myself, "Am I a good worker?" or "Am I meeting the expectations of this role?" I began asking, "What does it mean to be deeply loved and valued beyond these labels?" It made me realize that the essence of who I am—loved unconditionally and uniquely created—is far greater than any responsibility I carry. The passage from the image stating, “to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12) deeply resonated with me. It encouraged me to reconnect with what made my heart feel truly alive before the world defined me by my titles. Reconnecting with those passions and joys reminded me that self-worth stems from this foundational truth—not from achievements or social roles. I encourage anyone feeling trapped by their labels to take a moment to breathe and reflect on what brings them joy beyond their responsibilities. Freeing yourself from the pressure of titles opens up space for embracing your unique purpose and the love that defines you. Remember, your value doesn’t diminish on days when you’re not "productive"—you are cherished simply because of who you are in God’s eyes. Embracing this identity helped me find peace and motivation in everyday moments, knowing that no matter the expectations or outcomes, I am enough just as I am.
