MG GM Dominance Phillip Hughes WIP Update.
coming along nicely
It's always a thrill to dive into a new Master Grade gunpla kit, and the RGM-79DO GM Dominance (Philip Hughes Custom) has been an absolute blast to work on! For those who might not know, the GM Dominance is a really cool variant of the classic GM, known for its enhanced performance and unique design. The Philip Hughes version, in particular, stands out with its distinct color scheme and specific armaments, making it a favorite among mecha enthusiasts and Gundam fans alike. When I first got my hands on this kit, I was immediately struck by the level of detail Bandai put into it. The engineering of Master Grade kits never ceases to amaze me, and this one is no exception. The articulation is fantastic, allowing for a wide range of dynamic poses, which is something I always look for in a good gunpla model. I’ve spent countless hours meticulously assembling each part, from the intricate inner frame to the outer armor plating, making sure every piece snaps perfectly into place. One of my favorite aspects of building the Philip Hughes's GM Dominance has been exploring its lore. It's not just a cool-looking mobile suit; it has a story. This particular GM Dominance, designated RGM-79DO, belonged to Philip Hughes, a character known for his piloting skills. Understanding the backstory adds another layer of appreciation to the build process, making it feel like I'm bringing a piece of the Universal Century to life right on my workbench. Currently, I’m in the exciting phase where the main assembly is done, and I’m moving onto the detailing. This is where the model truly starts to come alive. I'm planning to apply some panel lining to accentuate all those intricate lines and crevices, making the details pop. I'm also considering some light weathering effects to give it a more battle-worn, realistic feel, fitting for a mobile suit that's seen its share of action. Decals are next on the list too, to add those final, authentic touches. Each step, no matter how small, contributes to the overall masterpiece. Building gunpla isn't just about putting plastic together; it's a meditative process that allows me to de-stress and express my creativity. There's a real sense of accomplishment when you see a collection of plastic runners transform into a fully articulated, highly detailed mobile suit. If you're a fan of the GM lineup or looking for a challenging yet rewarding Master Grade build, I highly recommend the Philip Hughes's GM Dominance. It’s a fantastic kit that offers a lot of room for personal touches and customization. I'm really happy with how this RGM-79DO is progressing, and I can't wait to share the final results with you all!
