Nausea can be a difficult thing to experience. I recently started having trouble with nausea when I entered my late 20s. After trying things to see what might help, here are my wellness must-haves for nausea
01. Bananas
Bananas are a great option to relieve nausea as they are known to stimulate the production of mucus on the stomach lining. They are also full of potassium, which is a necessary part in restoring the body to an even state.
02. Ginger
Ginger has been a popular option in treating nausea! There are so many options to take it in such as through ginger teas, ground ginger capsules, or ginger chews.
03. Essential Oils
If you don't want to consume more when you feel nauseous, essential oils are a great alternative. With my diffuser, I like to add a few drops of peppermint oil to fill in the room. This is a relaxing aromatherapy option for me.

Hey everyone! Following up on my last post about nausea must-haves, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into one particular superstar that often gets overlooked: bananas! When I first started experiencing that awful queasy feeling in my late 20s, I honestly didn't think much about bananas beyond them being a healthy snack. But oh, how wrong I was! They've become one of my absolute go-tos, and I've learned so much about why they're so effective. You might have heard of the BRAT diet – Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, Toast. It's often recommended for upset stomachs, and there's a good reason why bananas lead the pack! Beyond just stimulating mucus production and being packed with potassium, which I mentioned before, ripe yellow bananas offer a gentle approach to tummy troubles. Their blandness is key; when you're feeling nauseous, the last thing you want is anything strong-smelling or heavily spiced. Bananas slip down easily and don't irritate an already sensitive stomach. Another fantastic benefit comes from their pectin content. Pectin is a type of soluble fiber that can help firm up stool, which is really helpful if your nausea is accompanied by diarrhea. It also acts as a prebiotic, supporting healthy gut bacteria – and a happy gut often means a happier stomach overall. Plus, those natural sugars provide a much-needed energy boost without causing a sugar crash or further upsetting your digestive system. When you're not eating much, that little bit of natural fuel can make a huge difference in how you feel. From my own experience, opting for ripe bananas is crucial. The greener ones can be harder to digest. I usually just peel one and eat it slowly, sometimes even mashing it up if I'm really struggling to keep things down. It's truly amazing how something so simple can provide such quick and gentle relief. I also make sure to pair it with plenty of water or clear broths, as staying hydrated is absolutely essential when you're feeling unwell. Of course, while bananas are wonderful for mild nausea, it's always important to listen to your body.
