Eggs Benedict

We made Eggs Benedict by hand in class one day, the recipe was easy but the hard part was the hollandaise sauce. It got so many people tripped up so they and myself had to restart over again. I got it on my 2nd try. Which thankfully I learned from my mistake and corrected it.

Poached eggs were the easy part and the most fun part was layering it all together. So you have the English muffin, Canadian bacon, poached eggs, and then apply the hollandaise sauce over top of it. Slowly letting it seep down.

It looked as wonderful as it tasted! 😋

... Read moreEggs Benedict is a beloved breakfast dish that combines poached eggs, savory Canadian bacon, and toasted English muffins, all drizzled with rich hollandaise sauce. The key to a successful Eggs Benedict lies in mastering the hollandaise sauce, which can be daunting but rewarding with practice. A classic hollandaise is made from butter, egg yolks, and lemon juice, creating a smooth, buttery sauce that enhances the dish's flavors. To perfect this, you can begin by melting your butter and letting it cool slightly. Meanwhile, whisk the egg yolks with a bit of water in a bowl over simmering water to gently heat and thicken the yolks. Once thickened, slowly whisk in the melted butter until the sauce emulsion forms. Adding lemon juice at the end brightens the flavors, ensuring your hollandaise is tangy and delightful! To build your Eggs Benedict, toast your English muffin halves, layer with crispy Canadian bacon, and top with perfectly poached eggs. Finally, generously drizzle your homemade hollandaise sauce and enjoy a restaurant-quality dish at home. Eggs Benedict is perfect for special occasions or a delightful weekend brunch with friends. Enjoy!!
