Sourdough Day5
❤️❤️Today it was a little thin, but I think I got the consistency back to doughy.
I made the mistake of only discarding 60 g yesterday when I should have done 90 g, so today I discarded 90 g and added 60g back.
I am so incredibly new to this, so I am learning as I go!

If you're new to baking sourdough bread, you might find it a bit daunting at first. Achieving the right consistency is key. Discarding the appropriate amount of starter is vital to prevent overly thin dough. Typically, beginners learn through trial and error, which is completely normal! Remember to monitor your dough's development, as factors like temperature and humidity greatly influence your sourdough’s behavior. Engaging with fellow bakers online or through forums such as #sourdoughbeginners can provide invaluable resources, tips, and support throughout your baking journey. Don't hesitate to share your own experiences and recipes, as the sourdough community thrives on shared knowledge! Keeping a journal of your sourdough experiments can also be helpful for future batches. Happy baking!
