neurodivergent grimoire!
Have you ever heard the term 'grimoire' and wondered what it really means for a witch? When I first started my journey, I was a little overwhelmed by all the traditional ideas. Essentially, a grimoire is a witch's personal magical journal – a sacred space where you record everything from spells and rituals to your deepest spiritual insights, correspondences of herbs and crystals, and even your dreams. It's often called a 'Book of Shadows,' and it's less about ancient, dusty tomes and more about a living, breathing companion for your practice. For me, as a neurodivergent witch, the idea of a rigid, perfectly handwritten book felt really daunting. That's why I absolutely love the concept of a binder as a Book of Shadows. It’s so much more flexible! You can add pages, rearrange sections, and truly make it your own without feeling pressured by perfection. My grimoire isn't just a collection of spells; it's a reflection of my unique path, my learning style, and how my brain processes information. I’ve found that this adaptable format allows for constant expansions, meaning my grimoire can genuinely grow with me and my practice. So, what should you put in your grimoire? Honestly, anything that resonates with your path! I include: Spellwork: Not just the ingredients, but also my intentions, the outcome, and any personal reflections. Correspondences: A go-to guide for herbs, crystals, colors, planets, and their magical properties. This is super helpful when I’m planning new rituals or trying to understand symbols. Divination Notes: Records of my tarot readings, oracle pulls, or pendulum sessions, helping me track patterns and insights. Ritual Outlines: Step-by-step guides for ceremonies I perform. Personal Reflections: My thoughts, feelings, and experiences on my spiritual journey. This part is incredibly personal and truly makes it my book. If you’re looking to start your own, especially if you identify as neurodivergent, don't feel like you need a fancy, leather-bound journal. A simple binder can be your best friend! Start with dividers for different sections like 'Spells,' 'Herbs,' 'Divination,' and 'Personal Reflections.' You can use different colored paper, draw diagrams, or even include printouts. The key is to make it accessible and intuitive for *you*. I'm actually planning to start sharing step-by-step videos for some of the spells I add to my grimoire, which I hope will make it even easier for you to get started. Remember, your grimoire is a sacred tool, but it's also a deeply personal one. There's no right or wrong way to create it. It's about building a system that supports your unique magical practice and allows your inner witch to flourish. Embrace the fun part of creating something that truly speaks to your soul!

I'm glad I'm not the only one! it's the easiest way to write randomly but be able to organize it to make sense.
