The common mindset of just wanting to be thin felt hollow compared to the benefits I discovered after aiming for strength. Building muscle not only improved my physical appearance but also boosted my endurance, balance, and overall confidence. One of the key lessons I learned is that strength training doesn’t mean bulking up instantly; it’s about challenging your body progressively and consistently. Starting with bodyweight exercises like push-ups and squats can make a significant difference. As I continued, I incorporated weights which helped me become more resilient and toned in a healthy way. It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking 'skinny is better,' but from my experience, aiming for strong is far more rewarding. Strong muscles protect your joints, improve posture, and increase metabolism. Plus, it changes your mindset to appreciate what your body can do rather than just how it looks. If you’re just starting out, don’t worry about perfection. The important part is to start doing it—whether it’s a quick workout, a set of planks, or simple stretches. Consistency creates results. Remember, strength is personal and grows over time. Celebrate small victories and understand that strength is a journey, not just a destination.
