Stress Causes Office Workers Need to Know - Why Are Stressed Then Fat (Part.1 / 2)
Have you ever been like this? 😵💫 Sitting in front of the computer, I saw an urgent email from the boss bounce up and my heart beat up immediately, and I didn't even read the material.
Earlier in our office, there was a Sharing session by Doctor Pat (Doctor Uten Boondie), a famous neurologist and writer on stress management. It was over and felt more understanding of stress, 💭 so I wanted to summarize it to my friends who were working as well.
🧠 Cause: Why are we stressed?
Humans have an amygdala brain that catches danger signals all the time. When we feel that our "normal" is threatened, whether it's a bounce chat at 7: 00 p.m. or an unprepared meeting, it will immediately send a signal to open the "if not fighting, escape" mode, because the human brain is designed to "survive," and the person who survives is a very suspicious person.
So we should stop blaming ourselves when stressed. It's a mechanism that works purely naturally on the body.
⚠️. Check yourself: Are you "addicted to stress"?
Who?... Feeling guilty of being so childish, procrastinating that you put pressure on yourself to get to the point of being in a hurry, making it easy to become difficult when you don't need it - if familiar, it's a warning sign, because sometimes the stress associated with success comes with dopamine, so the brain is unknowingly addicted to that feeling of stimulation.
Knowing that this is happening is the first step before dealing with the problem.
🍩 The consequences: stressed and then actually fatter.
Every day of meeting, you often yearn for pearl milk tea or fries or buffets without knowing it. Because chronic stress causes the hormone system in the body to affect both metabolism, heart and immunity. That's why stressed people accumulate for a long time, often getting fatter and getting sick more easily.
So if someone tries to lose weight and doesn't succeed, check your stress levels, maybe it's more of a solution than food.
Once we understand the mechanisms, alarms, and effects of stress, we will post a page to tell us the techniques we have heard and try and feel that they reduce anxiety. Calm down. ✨
