Being A Good Friend!!!
Sometimes the greatest gift you can give someone isn't advice, it's your presence.
When someone you love is walking through heartbreak, grief, disappointment, or uncertainty, our first instinct is often to fix the situation. We search for the right words, the perfect Bible verse, or the solution that will make the pain disappear. But sometimes, they don't need someone to rescue them.
They need someone willing to sit beside them.
Someone who listens more than they speak. Someone who doesn't rush their healing. Someone who reminds them they're not carrying the burden alone.
As believers, we know God is the ultimate Healer. Our role isn't always to have all the answers, it's to reflect His love, compassion, and faithfulness to those who are hurting.
Job's friends actually got one thing right in the beginning. Before they started explaining everything, they simply sat with him in his pain.
Sometimes that's the ministry people need most.
Be the friend who: Chooses compassion over criticism. Listens before speaking. Gives grace instead of judgment. Prays even when you don't know what to say. Loves people through the process, not just the outcome.
You may never realize how much your quiet presence helped someone keep going.
"Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2
Sometimes the most Christ like thing you can do, is simply stay.
