NYC Korean Comfort Food‼️— come hungry🫶

My boyfriend told me this is the taste of his childhood. After fishing trips with his family, nothing hit the spot like a hot bowl of soondae gukbap. Today, we finally came here together — and it did not disappoint.

This spot is tucked away in Flushing, lowkey from the outside but packed with Korean locals inside. No English menu, no frills — just real, honest food.

📸 What we ordered (and devoured):

🍲 Soondae Gukbap

Rich, peppery broth filled with Korean blood sausage, pork liver, and rice. Comforting, flavorful, and nostalgic.

🥘 Tteokguk (Rice Cake Soup)

Chewy rice cakes in a delicate egg-drop broth with seaweed — so simple but soul-warming.

🥩 Bossam

Tender slices of pork belly served with spicy kimchi, garlic, and fresh lettuce — perfect for DIY wraps.

✨ A full spread of banchan (side dishes), dipping sauces, and fermented radish rounded out the table. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made with care.

This is the kind of place that doesn’t need fancy decor — the food speaks for itself. It feels like a home-cooked meal made with love.
