Abbey Yung Method

1/13 Edited to

... Read moreThe Abbey Yung Method has completely changed how I manage my dry and damaged hair, and I wanted to share some additional tips that have really helped me maintain healthy, shiny hair. One key part of this method is the use of a pre-shower oil mist, which I apply about 20 minutes before washing my hair. This step adds moisture and shine without weighing the hair down, especially if you use it sparingly. Another essential step is clarifying your hair to remove buildup, which I do at least once a week using a sulfate-free clarifying shampoo. This keeps my scalp fresh and helps haircare products absorb better. Following that, I double shampoo to create a richer lather, which really cleanses my strands without stripping them. Conditioner application is another crucial step. I focus it from mid-length to ends because that's where my hair is the driest and needs the most nourishment. I love using Dove intensive repair conditioner, as it helps prevent breakage and repairs damage effectively. Once a week, I swap out my conditioner for a protein-rich hair mask like the 10-in-1 bond strength serum mask from Dove. This has made my hair incredibly soft and touchable, something I didn’t achieve even with high-end masks before. After washing, while my hair is still damp, I use the OGX Bond Protein Repair Spray to strengthen and protect my hair from further damage. Then, I apply L’Oreal Ever Pure 21-in-1 Leave-In Conditioner, which is especially fantastic for fine hair like mine because it doesn’t weigh hair down but still provides essential hydration. When drying my hair, after blow-drying or air drying, I apply Moroccan oil to my ends by first spraying it into my hands and then distributing it evenly. This technique helps avoid greasy-looking hair and keeps the ends nourished and shiny. Overall, the combination of these steps has made a significant difference. My hair feels stronger, healthier, and visibly less damaged after just one wash, and continued use has improved the texture and appearance drastically. If you struggle with dry, thin, or damaged hair, I highly recommend trying this routine combined with these specific products—the results speak for themselves!
