I’m not here getting rich this week but I am getting some time to just be Taylor and not be “mom” for a couple hours #sahm #momoffive
Being a stay-at-home mom (SAHM) often means putting the needs of children and family first, which can leave little time for self-care or personal identity. From my experience, even a few hours to simply be myself, away from the "mom" role, can be incredibly rejuvenating. This week, while handling serving shifts and daily chores, I took a conscious moment to step back and reconnect with who I am beyond parenting. Managing a household with five kids means my schedule is packed with responsibilities—from meals and school runs to emotional support and household management. It’s easy to lose sight of personal interests or hobbies in that whirlwind. But carving out brief periods just for myself helps me recharge emotionally and mentally. It allows me to maintain my sense of individuality, which ultimately makes me a better mom. To fellow moms, especially those in the #momoffive community, I encourage you to identify those small pockets of time where you can pause and nurture your passions or simply enjoy solitude. Whether it’s reading a book, a quick walk outside, or a quiet cup of coffee, these moments can reduce burnout and increase happiness. Remember, the label of "mom" is just one part of your identity. Prioritizing time to be Taylor, or yourself, is not selfish—it’s essential for a balanced and fulfilling life.
