Summer activities for kids
#summerwithkids #lemon8challenge
summer activities for kids that wont break the bank we do pick a theme for each day movie Monday towel Tuesday wacky or wet Wednesday, thrive Thursday, fort Friday super Saturday, slow Sunday .
So we ether play with water at home , or use the community pool , but it could be as simple as chalk Tuesday big mess easy clean up “water “
Thrive Thursday is doing something educational weather it’s exploring the local metro parks and learning about nature, or learning a new skill at home like cooking , reading about something or playing music singing what ever that helps you thrive, Fort Friday I let the kids build a fort in the living room and watch a movie without getting upset because they used every blanket in the house lol . It’s keeping it simple without the overwhelm and not feeling guilty about ruining the summer for them we also do 3 non negotiable cleaning task every day we set timers and race to finish, dishes living room , and a quick tidy we rotate which days for laundry, and other major things so 3 main things each day that if they get done I done feel as bad because well at lest they are done , and well we can still be outside enjoying the sun.
Hope this helps and give you all the great ideas to come up with your own days with your kids to enjoy the summer with your kids without the overwhelm or braking the bank.
