Where did you lose yourself?
You already know. You just don’t trust yourself.
When did you stop trusting yourself and start needing everyone else to confirm what you already feel?
Because if you’re honest… you already knew. You felt it in your gut. You saw it. You heard it. But instead of trusting that quiet voice, you asked someone else. Then someone else. Hoping someone would say something different so you didn’t have to face what you already knew.
I’ve done that too. Asking the same question over and over like maybe this time I’ll hear what I want instead of the truth.
That’s really what it is. You keep asking until you hear what you want… not what you already know.
And this didn’t just start now. It started early.
Maybe you grew up without much and felt less than everyone else. Maybe your parents had money but no time, so your feelings didn ’t matter. Maybe you tried to speak up and got shut down… so you stopped talking and started holding everything in.
Or maybe you were constantly pushed. You got a 90 and they asked why it wasn’t 100. You got a 50 and instead of helping, they made you feel like a failure. So you grew up trying to get it right, trying to be enough, trying not to mess up.
And you carry that into your life.
In love, something feels off early and you feel it. They’re inconsistent, they pull back, they don’t show up. But instead of trusting that, you stay. You try harder. You explain yourself. You wait… because a part of you still wants to be chosen.
You know that feeling… that tight knot in your chest, checking your phone, rereading messages, trying to figure it out. That’s not confusion. That’s you trying to override what you already know.
At work, you know you’re good at what you do but still second guess yourself. You wait for approval before you move.
In your friendships, you’re always the one who understands, listens, and gives… even when you’re drained. You say yes when you mean no and then wonder why you feel off.
With family, you fall back into old roles. You stay quiet. You shrink. You keep the peace.
So when you sit there wondering why you keep doing this… why you don’t trust yourself… what’s wrong with you…
Nothing is wrong with you.
You don’t have a clarity problem. You have a self trust problem.
You didn’t lose your intuition. You were taught to ignore it.
So the way back starts with facing it.
This is what shadow work actually is.
It’s not a perfect routine. It’s catching yourself while it’s happening. It’s that moment when you’re about to text again, about to chase, about to ask someone else… and you stop.
You feel it in your body. And instead of pushing through, you pause and ask… why am I doing this again?
Not judging yourself. Just seeing it clearly.
You start noticing your patterns in real time. You write it down. What happened. What you felt. What you did. No filter.
Then you connect it. This is what I do. This is where it comes from.
And instead of beating yourself up… you forgive yourself. Because you didn’t wake up like this. You learned it. You adapted.
Shadow work is realizing you’re not just light. There are parts of you that react… and instead of ignoring them, you work through them while you’re in it.
That’s the shift.
You don’t wait until it’s over. You catch it in real time and choose differently.
When you want to chase… you pause. When you want to ask everyone else… you sit with yourself. When something feels off… you stop talking yourself out of it.
It’s not about being perfect. It’s about listening.
That’s how you rebuild trust with yourself. Little by little, in real moments.
At some point… you have to stop asking and start trusting.
Because the truth is, the answer has been there the whole time.
So ask yourself… do I already know the answer and I’m just afraid to trust it?
Because that’s where your power is.
I speak what I become. Healing is around the corner—you just have to keep walking 💜🙏🏻
