GLASS STOVETOP CLEANING🧽🧼🫧

2025/11/3 Edited to

... Read moreOkay, friends, let's talk about one of the most frustrating kitchen challenges: those stubborn, burnt-on stains on your beautiful glass cooktop! 😩 I used to think my stovetop was ruined forever after a messy boil-over, but I've finally perfected a method that brings it back to sparkling new, even for the toughest burnt food. The key to successfully removing burnt stains from your glass ceramic cooktop is patience and the right products. Here’s my step-by-step guide that works wonders for removing burnt food on glass cooktop: Step 1: Cool Down First! Always make sure your stovetop is completely cool before you even think about cleaning. Applying cold cleaners to a hot surface can cause damage, and it's less effective (and unsafe!). Step 2: Gentle Scraping is Your Friend For really thick, burnt-on food, a flat-edge razor scraper (specifically designed for glass cooktops) is a game-changer. Hold it at a shallow angle (about 15-20 degrees) and gently push under the burnt residue. Be super careful not to scratch the surface! This helps lift the bulk of the burnt food on glass cooktop without harsh scrubbing. Step 3: Apply the Magic Cream This is where the real work happens. I swear by a good glass cooktop cleaner. Products like Weiman Glass Cook Top Cleaner or The Pink Stuff paste are fantastic. If you've heard of Cerama Bryte, their cleaner and Cerama Bryte cleaning pads are also excellent for this task. Apply a generous dollop directly onto the burnt stains. You want enough to cover the affected area. Step 4: Scrub, Scrub, Scrub (Smartly!) Now, grab a non-abrasive sponge or a microfibre cloth. For extra tough spots, some cooktop cleaners come with a special scrubbing pad (like those that offer a 5-in-1 CLEAN + SCRUB + ERASE + SHINE + PROTECT action). Gently but firmly scrub the cleaner into the stains. You'll see the burnt residue start to lift and blend into the cream. If the stain is particularly stubborn, let the cleaner sit for 5-10 minutes before scrubbing again. The goal here is to break down those baked-on particles. Step 5: Wipe Away the Grime Using a clean, damp cloth, wipe away all the cleaning cream and dissolved burnt food. Rinse your cloth frequently and continue wiping until all residue is gone. You'll be amazed at how much burnt gunk comes off! Step 6: Buff for a Brilliant Shine Finally, take a dry microfibre cloth and buff the entire cooktop surface. This removes any streaks and leaves your glass stovetop looking incredibly shiny and new. It’s so satisfying to see it gleam again! My Top Tips to Prevent Future Burnt Stains: Wipe Spills Immediately: As soon as something spills, try to wipe it up with a damp cloth *if the surface is cool enough*. Don't let it bake on! Use the Right Cookware: Flat-bottomed pans are best for even heat distribution and less chance of spills. Avoid dragging heavy pots. Regular Cleaning: A quick wipe-down after every use prevents build-up. Don't let those "how to remove burnt food from glass stovetop" searches stress you out anymore! With these steps, your glass cooktop will look amazing. Happy cleaning! ✨
