Someone need to lose their job!!! #fyp #cna #nursinghome #healthcare
Working in healthcare, especially in nursing homes during the night shift, requires a high level of responsibility and compassion. Negligence during these hours can severely impact residents' health and dignity. As a caregiver, I have seen firsthand how missed rounds or ignoring residents' needs can lead to discomfort, infections, and emotional distress. It’s alarming to come across situations like residents being left in unsanitary conditions, as indicated by the phrase "NIGHT SHIFT DON’T DO THEIR ROUNDS AND LEAVE RESIDENTS PISSY!!!" This highlights a serious breach of duty. Round checks are not just routine; they are vital for monitoring residents’ safety, hydration, medication, and comfort. Failing to perform these duties can cause long-term consequences. Facilities must implement strict protocols and monitoring systems to ensure night shifts maintain high care standards. From my experience, training and adequate staffing during night shifts make a huge difference. Encouraging a culture where caregivers feel supported and accountable can prevent such lapses. Families of residents deserve transparency and assurance that their loved ones receive compassionate care 24/7. If you’re a caregiver or family member, don’t hesitate to report neglect or unsafe conditions. Advocating for better oversight can push for improvements not just in one facility but across the healthcare system. Everyone deserves dignity and respect, regardless of the hour of the day.
