My bf wants to break up cause I gained 100 lbs

I’ve been with my bf for 3 years. When we met, I was a college athlete, super active, fit, barely 110 lbs. After graduation, I got a sedentary job and started putting on a few pounds. At first, it didn’t faze him, he even thought I was beautiful when I was 50 lbs heavier. But then my dad suddenly passed away and I turned to food to cope. Before I knew it, I’d gained 100 lbs total.

Back in the day, he loved carrying me. I loved it too. But the other night, I asked him to carry me to bed, just for old times’ sake. He froze then said he couldn’t. I pushed him to say why and he sighed: “Honey, you’re too heavy. I’m only 175 lbs, you’re more than I can lift.” I cried I knew I was bigger but I hoped he’d try. He slept on the couch. Now he’s saying he’s not sure about us anymore. What do I do?
