#MyPetDiary #lemon8challenge We finally got Maple spayed last week and she was not a happy camper, we knew she would be the harder of the two when it came to isolated kennel time and let me tell you she did not disappoint. We got our #goldendoodle babies back in November and we knew we wanted to be responsible pet parents and get them both fixed at their six month mark. Unfortunately, Maple went into heat the week before the original appointment so we went ahead with Loki’s appointment but we had to wait until she was out of heat to have hers. Loki is our easy, carefree doggo who just goes with the flow. Maple on the other hand is just like her human momma, full of sass and ornery as all get out. So we knew that when it was time for recovery we were going to have one pissed off baby girl. Maple normally doesn’t mind the kennel and she happily gets in when she knows mom and dad are about to leave, but boy is that girl madder than a hornet in a coke can when she is missing out on all the fun. We attempted the kennel the night before and had even given her some sedation meds prescribed by the vet to keep her calm and chill, but chill SHE WAS NOT. This poor baby howled for an hour after being put in that kennel alone so being the people we are we ended up dragging the kennel into every room we congregated in. She sat with us in the living room during the day, her dad’s office while he worked and the foot of the bed while we slept and peace was restored to my home. Anyway, spay and neuter your pets y’all.
