October Empties with Reviews - part 44/45
✅ 8/10 ~ This is the Strawberry Moon Grinding Cleansing Balm from good light. I got this apart of a free 14 piece gift set with purchase from Ulta. As you can see from the photo, this was one time use. However, it did take off all my makeup very well - literally a full face of full glam and skincare. And it didn’t burn my eyes which is a huge plus - I won’t repurchase a cleansing balm if it burns my eyes. It does smell like strawberries too, but NOT an overwhelming artificial migraine inducing smell which I love. The full size is $29 which to me seems kind of expensive for a cleansing balm. But the full size has the grinding packaging which I absolutely love. And after I used it it didn’t irritate my skin, or make it feel dry or tight. I would purchase the full size to give it another try since I only got one use out of my sample. #productempties #empties #productreview #october #makeupremover
Okay, so after trying that sample of the good light Strawberry Moon Grinding Cleansing Balm, I've honestly been thinking about it ever since! It's rare to find a cleansing balm that truly lives up to its claims, especially when it comes to tackling stubborn makeup without any fuss. For anyone on the hunt for a new makeup remover, let me tell you why this one stood out. First off, the makeup removal power is no joke. I’m talking full-glam, waterproof mascara, long-wear foundation – the whole nine yards. Instead of scrubbing, which is a big no-no for your skin, this balm just melts everything away. I usually take a small amount, warm it between my palms, and then gently massage it onto my dry face. It emulsifies beautifully with a bit of water, turning into a milky texture that rinses clean without leaving any greasy residue. This is crucial for me because I hate that heavy film some balms leave behind. And the biggest win? No eye irritation! Seriously, my eyes are super sensitive, and so many makeup removers make them sting or blur my vision. The good light Strawberry Moon Cleansing Balm passed the ultimate test here. It took off my eyeliner and mascara effortlessly, and I could open my eyes without feeling any discomfort. This feature alone makes it a contender for a permanent spot in my routine. Let's talk about the scent too. The description of 'strawberry moon' really comes through – it’s a light, natural strawberry fragrance, not that artificial, sickly sweet smell that can trigger headaches. It makes the whole cleansing experience feel a bit more luxurious and enjoyable, rather than just a chore. While the sample was great, the original content mentioned the full-size has 'grinding packaging.' This often means it dispenses the product in a way that preserves its integrity or makes it easier to use, potentially with a unique texture or application. It sounds like a thoughtful design element that adds to the user experience and could justify the $29 price tag for the full product. When I think about what a good cleansing balm should do – cleanse, nourish, and soften – this one ticks all the boxes. My skin felt clean, hydrated, and surprisingly soft after using it, not stripped or tight. For anyone considering a double cleansing routine, this balm would be an excellent first step. It breaks down all the oil-based impurities, SPF, and makeup, preparing your skin perfectly for a water-based cleanser. It’s essential for maintaining clear pores and a healthy skin barrier. If you're struggling to find a makeup remover that's effective, gentle, and a pleasure to use, I'd highly recommend giving the good light Strawberry Moon Cleansing Balm a try. The initial sample definitely convinced me it’s worth exploring the full size!
