When you get randomly unblocked.. 👀 #getyourexback #ex #fyp #viral #tiktok #breakup #theyalwayscomeback
It's a moment many of us have experienced: you're scrolling through social media or checking your phone, and suddenly you realize your ex has unblocked you. What does it mean? My mind always races in circles! Is it a sign they’ve moved on, or are they trying to reconnect? From what I've learned, and what many relationship experts agree on, it's rarely a random act without a 'reason'. Most of the time, when an ex unblocks you, they’re essentially 'opening more doors' for communication. They might not immediately 'message' you or 'contact' you, but they're often doing it with an expectation. They might be assuming that you've probably been 'sitting around' wondering about them, and they're waiting for you to make the first move. They could be hoping that within a few days, they’re gonna see a message or some form of outreach from your end. This isn't always malicious; it's often a test of the waters. Another common scenario is that they've unblocked you to 'look at your stuff' on social media. They want to see if you've 'updated' your profile, check out what you’ve been up to, and generally 'feel it out first' before deciding their next step. Maybe they’re curious, maybe they’re feeling nostalgic, or maybe they’re genuinely considering reconnecting and want to see if you're still the person they remember, or if you've grown. It’s a 'low percentage' that they've simply 'moved on' and unblocked you out of a lack of 'resentment' with no intention of further interaction. While that can happen, it's not the most common scenario. If someone has truly moved on and bears no ill will, they generally don't feel the need to unblock you unless they're ready to put themselves back in your sphere, however subtly. So, what does it truly mean? Often, they're unblocking you 'because they're ready to come back' or 'they want you to come back to them.' They're 'opening those doors' and silently, or not so silently, 'hoping that you message them.' They're giving you an opportunity to re-engage, or they might be gathering information before they themselves decide to message you. It’s their way of saying, "Hey, I'm back. You can come back too." What should you do when this happens? First, take a deep breath. Don't immediately react. Reflect on what you want. Do you truly want them back? Has anything changed? If you decide to reach out, keep it light and non-committal at first. A simple, "Hey, how have you been?" can suffice. But remember, you don't have to do anything. Your ex unblocked you 'for a reason,' but that reason doesn't automatically obligate you to respond or act in a certain way. Focus on your own well-being and what's best for your future.
