When it comes to fruit and vegetables.I have to grow my own because when I buy from the store, it goes bad within 2 days and that's a lot of money being wasted. I'm not a green thumb , but I think i'm doing a great job for the first time.

Growing your own fruits and vegetables can significantly impact both your health and finances, especially when managing conditions like fatty liver disease. By cultivating fresh produce at home, you gain control over what you eat, ensuring that your meals are free from harmful pesticides and preservatives that can add stress to your liver. My journey with fatty liver disease involved drastic lifestyle changes. After realizing that store-bought fruits and vegetables often spoiled quickly, causing waste and cost concerns, I took the plunge into growing my own garden. Despite not being a natural gardener, the rewarding experience of harvesting fresh greens motivated me to stay consistent. This hands-on approach encouraged me to eat more nutrient-dense foods, which are essential for liver repair. In addition to gardening, I focused on healthy eating and drinking habits. Reducing processed foods, sugar, and alcohol intake while increasing water consumption played a crucial role. Weight loss was a key factor; shedding over 90 pounds not only improved how I felt day to day but also decreased fat accumulation around my liver, which can reverse fatty liver disease when combined with these lifestyle adjustments. Praying and staying mentally positive helped me remain motivated through the ups and downs. The connection between body and mind should not be underestimated in any health journey. For those facing similar challenges, I recommend starting small—maybe with a few potted herbs or vegetables—and gradually building up your garden and healthy routines. Personal commitment, patience, and embracing the process can transform your health, just as they did mine.
