Day 2 is done… mostly.

Here’s what I managed today — even if it didn’t go exactly as planned.

✅ Today’s Wins:

• Workout: Done

• Water: 4/4 bottles

• Steps: 4044 as of 8:36p

• Cleaning: Yes (master bathroom)

• Reading: Queen of Shadows p.58- (reading as I tuck my daughter into bed)

• Skincare: PM

• Journaled: In The Process (after my daughter is asleep)

💭 Reflection:

• What felt easy today?

• Getting my daily chores done and getting ready for the day… and cleaning my bathroom

• What felt hard?

• Staying motivated

• What made me proud — even a little?

• I’m an anxiety driver (driving makes me nervous and full of anxiety) but I drove with confidence today even though it was really busy today. We had to pick up my husband’s car from the shop. He needed gas. I followed him to the gas station and then home. Our main car needs gas and though I probably could have gotten it the same time he did… I feel confident enough to go by myself for the first time and get gas tomorrow WITH my daughter in the car. Considering I will have to drop off and pick up her from school for the first time in 5.5 years… this is a big thing for me.

• What will I carry into tomorrow?

• Confidence.

This challenge isn’t about being perfect.

It’s about building discipline through grace.

Every time I choose to show up — even halfway — it still counts.

It's not about being perfect every single day, but about consistently showing up, even when things don't go exactly as planned. That's why daily reflections, like the ones I share, are so crucial. They help you acknowledge your wins, big or small, and understand where you can adjust without getting discouraged. One area that often gets overlooked when we're pushing ourselves is sleep. We all want a good 'sleep score,' and my recent 88 'Good' score was a testament to prioritizing rest, even if it feels like there aren't enough hours in the day. During intense challenges like this, adequate sleep isn't a luxury; it's a non-negotiable foundation for energy, mood, and overall progress. For busy moms, getting those 7-8 hours can feel impossible. My tips? Stick to a consistent bedtime, even on weekends. Create a calming pre-sleep routine – for me, it's reading a physical book after tucking in my daughter. And try to limit screen time before bed. Tracking your sleep with a device like Fitbit can also be incredibly motivating, showing you tangible results of your efforts. Beyond sleep, incorporating consistent movement is key. My Day 2 workout focused on 'glutes and legs strength exercises,' which are fantastic for building overall strength and stability. I included staples like 'kettlebell squats,' 'glute bridges,' 'fire hydrants,' 'RDLs,' and 'side-lying leg lifts,' finishing with a quick 'mini stepper finisher.' Finding workouts you enjoy and can realistically fit into your schedule makes all the difference. For me, that means quick, effective sessions that make me feel strong without taking hours away from family time. Remember, even a short 27-minute workout, as my Fitbit showed, contributes significantly to your daily calorie burn and zone minutes. And let's talk about those 'hard' moments. Staying motivated is a universal struggle. What truly helps me is celebrating every small win. Hitting my water goal, getting in my steps, or even just tackling a cleaning task feels like a victory. But more importantly, it's acknowledging those moments of growth, like overcoming my driving anxiety today. It felt huge to confidently drive, knowing I'll soon be doing school drop-offs with my daughter. These personal breakthroughs are what make the entire challenge worthwhile. This journey isn't just about physical goals; it's about mental resilience and self-discovery. Each day is an opportunity to learn about yourself, push your boundaries gracefully, and build habits that will serve you long after the 90 days are up. So, if you're on a similar path, or even just thinking about it, remember to extend yourself grace, celebrate progress over perfection, and prioritize your well-being, including that precious sleep.
