When is it the right time to say no? Do you have A

I know that lately I’ve been saying no a lot but the start to feel like maybe I’m starting to lose interest in things and then just rather be alone. Maybe saying no is keeping me balanced rather than chaotic but maybe I don’t know any ideas.

... Read moreFrom my own experience, learning to say no has been a crucial step in preserving my mental health and personal boundaries. At first, I struggled with guilt and fear of disappointing others, which made it hard to refuse requests even when I felt overwhelmed. However, over time, I realized that saying no is not about shutting people out but about honoring my own needs and capacity. One tip I found helpful was to pause and assess my feelings before responding. If something doesn’t resonate with my priorities or feels draining, I take a moment to consider if saying yes would push me towards chaos rather than balance. This small practice has made decisions clearer and reduced stress. Another important point is understanding that saying no can actually strengthen relationships by setting honest expectations. When I communicate my limits respectfully, people often appreciate the transparency, and it reduces potential resentment on both sides. If you’re feeling like saying no leads to isolation, it might help to balance it with saying yes intentionally to activities or people that bring you joy and connection. This way, your boundaries protect your well-being without leading to loneliness. Ultimately, saying no is a personal skill and a form of self-care. It evolves as you learn more about your values and capacity. Don't hesitate to seek advice or reflect on your experiences to find the right approach that keeps your life balanced and fulfilling.

Telling someone “no” is not rude, it’s called setting a boundary!! and you can set boundaries in a polite way! it doesn’t have to be “rude” and if someone doesn’t understand or takes it the wrong way, that’s on them. Being a people pleaser is rude to yourself!! You are not putting yourself
