The fat burning cabbage 🥬 soup🫶🌸

I was so excited to make this soup! I remember doing the protocol a long time ago:)

Who tried the cabbage soup diet back then- raise your hands!🙌

Here’s the recipe

Ingredients:

• 1 small green cabbage, chopped

• 1 onion, diced

• 3 carrots, sliced

• 4 potatoes, diced

• 3 celery stalks, chopped

• 1 can (14.5 oz) fire-roasted tomatoes

• 4 cups vegetable broth

• Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Sauté the aromatics:

In a large pot, heat a splash of olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion, carrots, and celery. Sauté for 5–7 minutes until fragrant and softened.

2. Add the hearty veggies:

Stir in the diced potatoes and chopped cabbage. Cook for another 5 minutes to start softening them.

3. Add broth and tomatoes:

Pour in the fire-roasted tomatoes (including juice) and vegetable broth. Stir well to combine.

4. Season:

Add salt and pepper to taste. Bring the soup to a gentle boil.

5. Simmer:

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 30–40 minutes, or until all vegetables are tender and flavors are well developed.

6. Final touch:

Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. A splash of lemon juice or a sprinkle of chili flakes can add a nice boost if desired.
