However, they can also have a stubborn streak, so consistency and positive reinforcement are key! Early socialization is also super important to ensure they grow into well-adjusted adults. I've found that keeping training sessions fun and engaging, especially with elements that tap into their natural retrieve drive, works wonders. Their beautiful, wavy brown coats are another charming feature. While they don't require extensive grooming, a regular brush-down helps keep shedding under control and prevents mats, especially after an outdoor adventure. And speaking of adventures, these dogs need their exercise! Daily walks, playtime, and mental stimulation are essential to keep a Boykin happy and healthy. A tired Boykin is a well-behaved Boykin, trust me on that!
