As many of you may know, Canadian media organizations are currently blocked from posting news on Instagram and Facebook. This has left Canadians unable to find verified, authentic news on the platforms they already use.

To help solve that problem, Yahoo Canada has launched a WhatsApp channel to share breaking news, updates, analysis and more. We’re only the second Canadian media organizations to have launched a verified channel on WhatsApp so come follow us and get access to verified news easily and quickly.

The channel is muted so you won’t be bombarded with notifications but you can manually turn on notifications if you wish or just check for new posts by hitting the ‘updates’ tab located at the bottom left of your WA homepage.
