Money advice I totally disagree with 💸🚫

From my experience, cutting out enjoyment completely is both unsustainable and unnecessary. Instead, I’ve found that balancing saving and spending on small pleasures keeps motivation high and prevents burnout. This balance helps me stick to a budget without feeling punished. Another piece of advice I disagreed with early on was the blanket rule to "never use credit cards." I used to fear credit cards, thinking they only led to debt, but I learned that when used responsibly, they can be powerful tools. For example, making regular purchases I could pay off in full each month helped me build a stronger credit score and earn useful rewards like cashback or travel points. This approach turned credit cards into an asset rather than a liability. Lastly, the idea that wealthy people don’t budget struck me as inaccurate. In reality, budgeting seems to be a fundamental practice that many financially successful individuals rely on for stress-free wealth management. They use budgets as a roadmap to track income, control spending, and allocate funds toward goals and investments. Budgeting doesn’t mean restricting yourself; it means being intentional and informed about your finances. Incorporating these insights has made managing money feel less daunting and more empowering. By rejecting extreme advice and embracing balance, credit smartly, and using budgets wisely, anyone can improve their money habits and build financial confidence.
